March 2026 – The last few weeks have been a whirlwind delivering “Snap Out of It” to both Year 9 and 10 in secondary schools in Southend to colleges in the North! In March, over 1,400 more young people have heard this story. That’s 1,400 more young people that understand the dangers of Snapchat. 1,400 more who now know about Clare’s Law. 1,400 more who are empowered to protect themselves both online and in real life. The feedback has been overwhelming at times realising how many young people have been affected by online harms and domestic violence at such a young age – but this just fuels my commitment to continuing this work and why it is so important.

December 2025: Ending the year delivering to some fantastic colleges including East Durham and Walsall College. Some really impactful female focused sessions sharing our story with them and showing them that knowledge really does mean power.

November 2025: I was honoured to be ask to speak at the Southend Safeguarding Conference, where this year’s focus is Online Harm. Events like this are vital for professionals working with young people, giving them the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the hidden risks that exist online. Every time I deliver a session, I’m taken back to a period in my life when everything felt uncertain for my family. That memory is what drives me to keep doing this work — to share our story as widely as possible in the hope of helping others avoid similar situations.

This session was an emotional one for several delegates, particularly those with teenage daughters, and I’m grateful for the kind words they shared afterwards. It’s a gentle reminder that so many of us are simply parents trying our best.
